so, monday was the first day of uni. dad dropped me off at the main block just past 9am, registered myself, met up with the girls, attended the orientation at the theatrette for the uol, uel and law programme where i saw many MAny familiar faces from taylor's. geng! the orientation was a bore - lasted for almost 1.5hours. would have easily fell asleep in there. grrr. anywayz, the theatrette left me a bad impression of help when i first went there almost 2 years ago...simply because it was erm old and small. bahh. went for this campus tour after that - our guide spoke lousy english. cool. took the shuttle bus to wisma perdana - a quick browse through and we decided to skip the whatever programme briefing which took place rightafter.
*happily switches on the yahoo launchcast because my stupid connection at home is too slow for all these shit*
*awwww john mayer!! =D*
so yea, that was day one in uni. oOo chow has gone back to london. aiyar it'd be some time before i get to kacau him again. missing my koko ady =(
day two - first attended the statistics lecture. thank god he cut down the lecture to 1.5hours. introduction to stats....it's basically the same from what we learned in a levels. bbbbbboring. headed to mcds for lunch, then went for accounting lecture which again lasted for 1.5hours. yes, introduction again. we're even using frank wood as reference text...and sem1 is going to be bbbbboring too having need to repeat what we did in a levels. not very fond of my lecturer's pronounciation on certain words of which she puts a slang on. hmph. on that very day, lie kim told me that her friend amy just got her uol first year results - she passed, but many of her friends failed...this course is going to be tough. and i also heard that it isn't easy to transfer to other unis too. sigh. now, since i have not paid a single cent to help (my rm50 application fee is waived because..i have applied to help back then..), i really should go talk to the counsellor and seek for advice, and if anything goes wrong, i am still able to decide to enter other unis/colleges. omg.
the thing with help is, we have to park at the main block and not at the other buildings where our lectures and tutorials are located because it would cost us a bomb to park there. would then have to take the shuttle bus to the whichever building - mafanness. anywayz, the parking fees is paid according to the hourly charges unless we get the monthly pass or a booklet of 30 parking coupons which would be much cheaper. tried getting the booklet of parking coupons, but was sold out, so hor we had to buy from whoever's kind enough to spare us one of theirs by standing under the hot sun and aiming at those heading to/coming out from the carpark ;) very cuute haha.
then later at night, after much discussion, we went to luna bar for one last gettogether with hsien ju before she leaves. have heard loads about luna bar. the place was smaller than expected, from what i see in the magazines and all. very scenetic view - klcc especially! bias-nye keke. wasn't very much in the mood to enjoy the surrounding. maybe on my next visit there lar =) ju, hope you'll settle down fast and all the best to you! =)
