The past few days were spent in Singapore and another in jb to attend a wedding dinner. Our journey there seemed short (because we slept the whole journey), whereas making detours on our way back (to kukup lar, pontian lar, malacca lar) took us almost 11 hours to reach home. well, it would've taken only 10 if it wasn't for the jam in the north-south highway...
paragon's huge tree

mrt station still looking busy at 10pm. omg u should have seen the crowd on christmas eve. scary.

Are you a smoker? Saw this on the tar road keke
enjoyed our stay in m hotel!
cantik christmas tree at raffles city
i like parco bugis junction!
this is their national library. fuiyoh damn modern building. damn huge!

it was a wrong move for us to choose to make way to orchard road since i still need to make a few purchases over at Heeren's. bloody crowded as it was christmas eve - everyone's there to celebrate&countdown mar. totally avoided all the sprays from passerbys by walking in the inner lane (where the crowd consists of mainly families and couples instead of the other crowd which have more youngsters going in groups). the walk to heeren's has never been longer coz scared lar i don't want to kena 'attack' by all these people who holds at least a spray tin each...satisfied myself with cd purchases =) then headed to the next nearest mrt station, again, in fear hehe.
look at the crowd! ren san ren hai!
7-11 is a good place to shop for (junk) food too!dark chocs...mmm...candies not found in msia...weee~ i shall try em out nx week in class =)
bugged my parents to bring me to savour the oh-so-famous xiao long bao after spotting the advertisement in the hotel's mag, then remembered about people telling me how yummmmy they are. wanted to give it a try on our 2nd day, but my parents' friends brought us around for good food all day, and since i've threatened dad to satisfy my other wants if he didn't bring me there, wahahahhaa we went there for brunch on day 3!
Din Tai Fong!
Xiao Long Bao! it's not baddd lar, but i've tasted better ones in malaysia =)
Some funny shaped erm dumplings..?
the hardworking chefs in da kitchennnn
and, bye bye orchard road! see ya another day =)sale in mambo was great! everything they have are not available here, and there's puhlenty of designs to choose from! and there sure is a difference between 'made in china' and 'made in thailand' products. if you're wondering, MIT is better lar =P got a couple of albums that's unavailable in malaysia (OMG john mayer trio included! finally!!!), had 2 seafood meals in this trip, satisfied my 'only available in spore' food cravings etc etc. i feel more familiarised in singapore now, and i'm so glad that mum&dad didn't bring us on a 'visit to tourist attractions' trip this time =)
And if you haven't read this, There is only ONE REASON to go to Singapore: To visit Malaysians working in Singapore. HAHA quite true quite true. in that case, i should make it -ONE of the reasons to go to singapore: to visit Malaysians working/studying in Singapore!
It was great to gather us few for a mini class lunch earlier on since a couple of them are back from farfarland =) hehe we look different from the days back in taylor's!
