friday night was spent at Jogoya @ Starhill. i was starvinggg when we finalllyy arrived after being stucked in this massive-chiseeeen jam which took us 2hours to reach from home, which explains why i was more interested in filling up my plate with fooood instead of go snapping pictures at every corner of the restaurant. everyone's been raving bout this huge japanese buffet restaurant. the bill came up to slightly over rm100 per person - not quite worth it for someone like me who skips almost anything raw =P there were over 200 dishes to choose from - sushis, sashimis, teppanyaki, dimsum, free flow of coconut & fresh fruit juice, movenpick icecream, etcETC. they serve no unagi & smoked salmon =( it was nevertheless a delightful treat =)

starhill is soooo nicely decorated =) and i only managed to get one clear shot..


upon returning home a few hours after a drink at passion followed by yummy supper at petaling street with jo&shaun, took off on a road trip to Kelantan on sunday morning. left home at 8am, reached kota bharu at around 5pm - 9 longggg hours that is. made a few quick stops at other towns, and the rest of the time was spent sleeeeping in the car.


didn't do much over there. food sucked. had Chicken King (their local KFC?) for dinner on the first night since there was limited choice of food near the hotel. the rest of the time was spent in hotel watching tv. was in bed at 11 even after being a PIG for the whole day....

went to rantau panjang (i think) the next morning. it was located at the border of our neighbouring country thailand, where imitation goods and thai products were easily available in the market at pretty cheap prices. and the best of all is there was a duty free shop! =D my happy purchases did eased walking under the damnHOT sun! hehe

went to pantai cahaya bulan later in the evening.

the beach was about 30km away from the city centre. didn't stay for long though. the icecream-in-bread as seen above costed me only a good 50cents! damn cheap! miraculously located this chinese area in kota bharu whereby they even had a hawker centre! chinese food!!! and all 6 dishes that we ordered were baddddd.

after watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and since my family was already in bed since 10pm, headed to the swimming pool where some light music was played, and walaoeh damn nice lar to chill beside the pool at night lar! ended up reading a book there until they've decided to switch off the music, then followed by the lights about half an hour later....

woke up at bloody 7am to check out the local market. an interesting sight not to be seen in kl. bought home fresh keropok lekor!! omgggg who wants keropok lekor?? =D


was supposed to continue the road trip with a 3rd night stay at godknowswhere, but since mum wasn't feeling well and lynn&i have been bugging to go home since day1, we're finally backkk after travelling for 1200km! and yes it took us just about the same time to come home too...

omgggg i want my nyonya zhang since it's the dumpling festival today!

it's mum&dad's 25th wedding anniversary too! =)

and now we're hitting the 6th month of year 2006....cepatnye~
