well hellloo there. arrived birmingham bout ermmmmm 68hours ago, settled down 64hours ago, got my internet connection 16hours ago, got disconnected 1290470217473819times...and while i was almost done blogging last night, the connection fucked up again..watched half a drama series from the bed, and the next thing i know, the birds are chirping away on a nice saturday morning =P
SO from yesterday:
woke up at 6ish today...spent time filling in forms watching shows took my own sweet time to get ready blablablablabla and after much effort to kill time, left for campus at 10+. walked up and down the campus to get everything sorted - timetable, enrolment letter, enquiries, get the id, etcetc and it was only like 12+. opened a natwest account, impatiently browsed through a coupla shops, and finally headed to asda. omg i've been stocking up on food for the whole 3days i'm here. everything seemed tempting. felt like buying everythinggggg, but there's no way i'm gonna finish it - that's the cons with staying alone. you see, i bought 6eggs yesterday, which would take me a week to finish if i had an egg each day. if i was with my family, they'd be gone within a day. a loaf of bread would last me forever too. so ke lian. we have 2 fridges in the kitchen to share between the 6 of us, and i took up 3/4 the space of a fridge, not to mention other dried food and stuffs in the cabinet heeeheeee. and i've been controlling myself from not buying back things just coz 'omg i MISS that!' or omg i WANNA try it!'. good girl =)
the weather has been FINE the past few days, and it had to rain this afternoon when i was heading home. waited for the bus, but gave up in the end. walked for probably ten mins IN The rain to aNOther bus stop, took a bus, walked for another 5 mins to hostel, and i'm so glad to be back. i should really consider getting an umbrella hor.
anywayz my flatmates consists of a greek, two austrian, a german, a french.. generally, people have been really friendly and helpful. cars automatically stop at zebra crossings for pedestrians to cross, which is like coooool! the shopping mall opposite my campus is pretty big with PLENTY of bargain shops! omgggg i dunno where to shop for my groceries lor...and there's a Next clearance shop, omg KFC as well (i remember seeing veryveryvery few kfc's in london =P), and the shops are quite big too! omg i shall visit krispy kreme tomorrow! =) yupz my first visit to the city centre =)
also, my first time taking the bus and i missed the stop! damn...it took me long enough to realise that 'no, the bus will not end up anywhere near the uni anymore' before i got off the bus, and took another one..sigh.

major MAJOR constructions are going on in
Dubai, for example
The World,
The Palm Islands, the soontobe world tallest structure, hugeass shopping malls, hightech themeparks etc. i once received a forwarded email with staggering photos of the constructions. damn geng.

dragging a HEAVY luggage, carrying a backpack, a laptop, and a bag of goodies without the help of a trolley, is indeed a difficult task..

while unpacking, i broke the only plate i have with me..sigh
