two months back while miss joanne lee was visiting mememe, we went to brussels! thick fog, cold weather, nice friendly people, cheap(er) food, and thankfully our flight weren't cancelled due to the sucky weather =)

brussels is a considerably small city and we covered most of the tourist attractions in 1.5days - our hotel was located in the other end of the city (where all the designer shops were at! nyahahaha) but we still managed to walk to the city centre although public transports were easily available within the city. french is their main language, but most of them know some english so it was okaay - by the end of the trip we were dreading to go back to england after being in 2 french-speaking cities for a week =]

galaries royale st hubert - the first shopping arcade in the world. sorrrrry i'm lousy with cameras =( more of a higher end shopping center - all the (unheard of yet expensive) branded stuffs, LOTSA chocolatiers as well! chocolatiers are basically found everyyyywhere lar in brussels - belgium is da land of chocolates! godiva! =)

can't miss this belgian specialty out as well - frites!

we must have blindly walked into 3 biiig christmas markets in one night - stuffs are not as overpriced as those of in birmingham's, (godddd now i miss the german sausages....) and it's people mountain people sea in the markets =) also got on the ferris wheel for a prettty view of the city after little persuasion hehe.
