after a long day in the uni, i was dragged to star city casino last night because my friends were short of 1 kaki for mahjong...i last played mahjong like.......hmmm 1.5years ago?? =))

anywayz, i've not been to star city before....it's a huge entertainment centre with a large casino, cinemas, bowling, restaurants etc etc. did some research on how to get there lar before leaving - was supposed to catch the number 11 bus to summer road in erdington, then change to number 66 to star city. champion me got off like two stops late, then instead decided to walk to star city coz the buses were infrequent, i've just missed the 6.50pm bus, and i was told that it was "about 1 or probably 2 miles away" . 1 or 2 miles should take like 20-30mins guaaa, and everyone said that "it's so brightly lit, you can't miss it!", and yes it took me half an hour of brisk walk to finally see the star city....took almost an hour's walk to get there WTF. half the time i was walking by the highway (damn sked ok somemore like i'm stucked in the middle of nowhere...), and it started to rain like 40mins into the walk....and unlike driving, you can't afford to take a wrong turn and lose ur way then u-turn back coz it's sooo tiring. i nearly decided to give up and shop at Costco only larrrrrr coz the highway i was walking at lead me to Costco instead of Star City @_@...but all's good when i was told that i could get to star city by using the underpass hehe.

and on my journey back home only did i realise that it's a mere 10-15mins drive from my place. fuck larrr i took 1.5hours to get there. but then, 1hour of unnecessary walking didn't sound so long & bad after being rewarded with 6hours of mahjong + free flow of drinks & snacks keke =D
