today marked my first day working in the uk :)

got up early in the morning (or rather 9ish) and reached just in time at nathan's. reached villa park at 10.30, and proceeded to the catering area. man there were lotsa people! and lotsa different booths as well - some caterings had really smart uniforms, some just a plain top. finally located our booth, and no...our uniform were neither the both. instead, we had to wear some disgusto looking disposable 'coat' and a cap that resembled a shower cap =.= well that's what we thought anyway coz EVERYONE in the queue were dressed seemingly. not to mention that they looked like a bunch of refugees or even homeless people desperately wanting that job to support their family or something huhu. for a moment, i didn't want the job anymore =/

ANYWAY, when it was finally our turn for some sorta registration, we were told that nAHhh we won't be wearing those uniform as we'll be doing some other job! *phew* many minutes of stoning later, we were brought to the stall we'll be located throughout the day. for the 7hours i was there, i spent bout 4-5hours stoning and the rest serving customers. we sell more than just pies and beers (well thats what they sell in birmingham city anyway. aston villa sold more stuffs because (quote) "we're the better club!") - in a way, it was like a dream come true for me wtf coz i've always wanted to try out scooping the chips (fries) using the scooper thingy then pouring a generous serving of curry sauce on it, playing with using the cash register, selling people real edible food, and errr yea thats it hahahhaa. whee it's just like playing real-life masak-masak nyekekeke.

business was slow for my till at the beginning coz dunno why everyone wanna get food from the other tills. ROAR isit coz they see that i'm a chinese whom most probably can't understand any form of english other than sign language? grrr anyway it got busier as the kickoff time comes nearer, and omg it got so fucking busy during halftime really can pengsan. and i swear to god every other english guy lookalike @_@ not to mention that i really dislike these 2 other english bitch and bastard in my stall >=( and the supervisor who throws tantrums at us every once in a while, who only allowed us to eat chips during breaktime while she curi makan all the goodies herself from the kitchen, and also who yelled "NO MORE CHIPS FOR ALL OF YOU" to us when we declared our own break and formed a chips-eating corner in the kitchen =/

for once i wished that i stayed right beside the uni because it took me almost half an hour to get home by foot while nathan only took half the time =/ yup villa park is just a short walk away from my uni. i was hella exhausted from all that 7hours of standing and stoning. and THAT, people, is how i spent my saturday.

oh aston villa won 1-0 against west ham utd :) could feel the ground shaking for a few seconds when they scored the winning goal....no pictures of any sort because we weren't allowed to bring anything into the property...

a day's wage here is equivalent to my 1 week's pay in malaysia - you do the math. if not converted back to ringgit, it's only sufficient to buy me 3 good meals, or 1.5 tshirt, or half an awesome pair of sneakers :) too bad i only get to work like once every week or so, IF i choose to work in Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich. whoo we have 2 premier league clubs in birm hehe.

now that my dream has finally come true wtf, and because the job is kinda boring (seriously, i'd prefer my job in the law firm heh), and because i feel like bitchslapping a few of the staffs, and because i'd have to walk 30mins to villa park or even travel by bus to the other end of birmingham to other football clubs (LAZY), and because all i feel is TIRED after the job, and because they only feed me chips for break, and despite all that my pay isn't extravagant, i shall reconsider about working at the upcoming matches.

sorry for the overusage of wtf's, but i think it's only appropriate to add it behind my verythelame yet kinda true sentences bleuk.

and i think my purple hairdye is starting to fade again :(((
