dear grandma,
your departure seemed all too quick and sudden for us. i remember how chow reminisced about your cooking just 2 weeks back, saying that they were one of the best he has ever had. sadly, people age as years pass by, and your skills weren't as proficient as before. in the recent years, we only get to taste the maid's cooking which most certainly can't beat yours :( i'm sorry i didn't spend more time with you during my short break back in kl. you looked paler and weaker as compared to just a few months back, but your face was never short of joy when you had any of us around you.

there's so many things i'm going to miss about you. in an event to lighten up the mood, aunty siew hui joked that i should feel happy that i received the only ang pau you gave out this year when i rang them earlier on. and unfortunately, today also coincides with mum's birthday. "a very sad birthday", when i wished her happy birthday :( i wish i could be there to bid you a proper goodbye, thinking back, i was in a hurry when i left the hospital to pay you my last visit before returning to the uk. glad that you made it home at the very least.

you have been very strong to pull through these 3 long months. and to think that your suffering has finally come to an end, that is a blessing in disguise. may you rest in peace my dearest grandma.
