boohoo our house was broken into yesterday.

in bright daylight.

total damage caused: one laptop, one psp, and several hundred pounds in cash. ouch.

scene: first things spotted when i came home from uni - alex's room door was left open even tho he was out, which was unusual for him; basin in the toilet had odd black stains on it, which i thought was odd but waved it away coz i couldn't give a damn after walking under the rain for 15mins (=moody). when he's finally back home, realised his lappie was missing. bing said the toilet window was left wide open when she came back from uni. well, we leave it slightly open most of the time anyway for ventilation purposes. suddenly everything started to make sense. rang the police, but took them something like 15hours to get back to us wtf. anyhows they sent detectives and errrr someone to get the fingerprints off the window etc, quite cool la actually, coz we have been watching Forensic Heroes 2 (法政先峰) and were relating everything to the series haha.

i guess in a way we were lucky that the son of a bitch only grabbed stuffs hurriedly from alex's room located downstairs, otherwise imagine the misery it's gonna cause to the whole house. yes, OF COZ it freaked us out, further reminding us about our safety living in this area, increasing our paranoia when we're both in and out of the house :S not to mention, the house wasn't even empty when it happened. wendy was in her room, but wasn't aware of what's happening downstairs. but thankfully, no one was hurt in this process. and i really don't like the idea of having to lock our room doors every time we're out, but sigh thats just one of the preventions we can do to minimise the chances of such things to happen in the future innit?

now where can we feel safe?
